Anthropomorphic Service Robotics in 2030: Strategic Leadership and Organizational Readiness

Abstract: Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly, and anthropomorphic service robots are beginning to move from theory into everyday organisational practice. This chapter explores how advances in emotional AI and generative personality modelling may reshape service delivery in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, retail, and tourism by 2030. Drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model, leadership theory, and research on anthropomorphism, it presents an integrated framework to support organisations in adopting these technologies. The discussion considers not only technological capability, but also customer expectations, employee readiness, and the wider organisational context. It also reflects on how leadership is evolving in response to these changes, highlighting the importance of AI literacy, ethical awareness, and the ability to manage collaboration between people and intelligent systems.
